These are the official patch notes for Version 0.4.0 released by Dynamight Studios.[1]
Major Changes[]
- The world map is live! It can be opened by pressing M or clicking on the button in the minimap frame. It shows the whole of Myr and tracks the character's position in it. Includes names for different areas.
- Please note: the Vale of Shadows is not done yet, it's just a grassland.
- Outlines have been added when hovering with the mouse on creatures and players (grey: self, green: friendly, red: hostile/can be attacked).
- Please note: you can turn on "pvp mode" for testing purposes by pressing CTRL+P.
- Monsters and player weapon sounds implemented. Still got some work to do to even out their volumes, but they're all there (punches aside).
- The Game Settings menu now features a functioning Audio Settings page.
Minor Changes[]
- Targeted attacks (left click) now guarantee that the target selected is always hit (the attack can't be avoided by moving away or on the side a little like it was before). This should make it a lot easier to hunt fleeing animals like rabbits and foxes. This applies to monsters attacking players as well.
- The character now rotates while performing a targeted attack if the target moves on the side.
- Heavy material dropping is now smoother and should cause no more freezes.
- "Resist" message added when a spell is ineffective thanks to a successful save throw for the victim.
Bug Fixes[]
- Some rivers don't have water.
- Values in Unity input manager don't work (should be removed).
- Frenzy does activation animation and shows no activation particles.
- Strike Wounds particle causes errors.
- Monsters are invisible before they move for newly logged player.
